JUNE 17 2025 Pocono mtns tuesday

It is easy to write about this day. The day is taking up by moving the RV to another campground.  We know our assigned duties already. They rarely change from year to year.  Although, there may be some due to a new RV like Brinkley.

We wake early. I’m up by 8:00 am. I know many think that’s late, but for me, I crawl out by 9:30 am usually or later. There is no hurry.

Well, like I said, I do inside stuff. So, like, what you’re wondering?  Some examples, I make sure every dish, plates, napkins, salt shakers, pots, and pans utensils are all put in their place. I end up putting all the stuff away. Like our stools for breakfast and a little table all get put upon the bed to the bedroom put on top of the bed. The coffee station gets put away. The counter in the middle has nothing. The sink counter has nothing. The stove has stuff that remains must be positioned correctly. The refrigerator has to be packed with a keen eye that nothing falls out. There are metal bars you put in the front to contain everything.  The pantry you do your best. I bought buckets to get stuff safe.  So that is some of the stuff. I need to check the bathroom and the bedroom. When that’s all OK, I close the slides.

While I’m doing my part, he is hooking the truck to the trailer. He has to put away the hoses and connection for water, electricity, and the bathroom.  Then to remove any blocks for the wheels. Stability and accurate levels are in check, too.

It’s a process, then when you get to the new place, you have to manage to get it in the spot and accurately make sure it’s level. This is in itself tricky, and you have to play with it until it is accurate.  The opposite is done. Hook everything outside. Then the slides come out, and you have to take everything out that was put away.

The only thing that upsets the rhythm is a major bump in the road. We had several. I prayed it all remained in place. But, no, it didn’t. I opened the slides, and half the pantry was all over the floor. I could scream… I did silently.  I had to pick up everything that fell and put it back in the pantry.

It’s time to eat, and we both were done, so I heated up leftovers. I forgot to mention it was raining. The sky got foggy, and we barely could see.

The one focus point to turn is a giant gold buddy on the corner.

I like seeing the mountains
A deer in the camp ground
The fog we drove thru

THANK YOU so much for stopping by. Enjoy! I hope you smiled at something.
