I got up late, and we have plans today. There is no time to exercise. I must be careful!
We gather our food bags and get in the truck. It was a fun drive. We are headed for Ashland, Ohio. They have all these new looking blogs. So many farms we past. But the views were so pretty. Not at all like where we live in Florida. There are big trees, mountains, farms, huge farm equipment on the road. One truck had twelve tires on one side doubled!
But there we little huts for new cattle, huge white rolls of hay, corn really high.
We got to Aldis. Similar to the one at home. We needed veggies. Then some other stuff like my water ice, chicken broth, paper plates, and cutlery. It’s amazing how fast you go thru that stuff. Oh, a horse and carriage was hooked up to a stake. There are supposed to be many Amish.
Then we went to the butcher down the street. He has his own animals that he sells and grows for food. But, OMG the prices! Steaks we around $60.00 and up. Pork was around $45.00 and up. A chicken breast $12.00. It was insane. The counter had beautiful cuts of meat. They were thick cuts of meat. They were so fresh in color.
We indulged in pulled pork. A 1 lb. Was $14.00. You just don’t get to see this anywhere.
Then we went to Walmart. It was across the street. I forgot that we went there, for it was only a few items. But, corn on the cob was $.50 each! What a ripe off.
There was also a Verizon store. I am getting email interruptions like crazy. This man took it and did something good. Cause I haven’t got an interruption thru this entire blog. That’s awesome news.
Well, we got back, and I put everything away only to find I need to take out dinner. I made purchased crab cakes, green beans, and a sweet potato. Yummo!
