What a tough day. I think I mentioned that the front piece of our black tank was stolen with the hose. Who can be so low to still such an item. However, we had to go to the camping world and was able to get another one to replace what was stolen.
BUT, that wasn’t the only problem. We are riding in the truck, and El says something is wrong with the truck. My stomach turns upside down.
We went to Aldis to get some things, but they require a refrigerator. We drive to our RV. I put everything away. He luckily finds a GMC truck repair place not too far away. He calls them, and they are willing to take a look.We jump in the truck and drive over there.
The guy in charge was so nice. They took the truck to a diesel repair man. We wait to find out what’s wrong. Luckily, I brought a book to read.
Sometime later, the man came to give e us the bad news. The power steering fluid was leaking. They can get a new tube or hose from Chicago. Forgetting I’m in Indiana, Chicago is far from Florida. Turns out it’s a 2 hr drive. What do I know. The price to replace the hose is $1300. The mechanic gets $180/hour! Really!!!!! A man drove us back to our RV. Will call when it’s done tomorrow.
I don’t remember dinner. I was exhausted by the time we ate.
