JULY 27 SUNDAY CAVE CITY, KENTUCKY

The place we came from was a pretty site. No one was near us. But, we move on. Slow start to the morning. This is because we gain an hour.

The ride was horrendous.  The truck and RV bumped up and down non-stop. The craters in the road were miserable.  I can’t even believe they leave it open. I was getting a headache, it was so bad.  The ride was at least 3 hours. It was the worst ever.

It did not help that the road going over a river in Louisville was closed.  There was tension and aggravation of finding another way.  I took the map and found the better way to go.  He was panicking that I was not doing it correctly.  Until we saw a sign that described the alternate route to be the one I was taking us on.  Help me!

But the roads didn’t get better. We stopped for gas and coffee. I was so glad to get out of the truck.

We finally got to the campground. It’s not big and all the sites are concrete with nice tables. It’s upscale.

Dinner time, I made a recipe I knew he would like, and it used up stuff in the frig.  It had sausage, spinach, garlic, pasta, onion mushrooms, and spices. It was great.

We are both exhausted. The ride was tough. We are also not able to get the wifi, which sucks.

Anyhow, I’m done complaining.

Thanks for stopping by to read my blog. I am so grateful. Hope it gave you a smile. Enjoy!

Horses are big here in Kentucky.

The middle is a stack of wood for winter. That isn’t even all of it! Can you imagine how cold it gets .
