This is the first day of the cruise. As you know, last night I couldn’t find my car fob until I looked at the one pocket in my purse. I swear I would not put a fob in that pocket until I searched at my brothers home and found it.
We packed up our suitcases, making sure we didn’t leave anything. We went to the breakfast buffet. It wasn’t great. I made a waffle and didn’t put enough batter in the machine. Yup, with holes and a bit burnt. I got a pre-made cheese egg thing. Can’t describe it, but it doesn’t matter it was cold.
We pack the car and off to put the car in a reserved park and ride. The reservation warned of the construction with directions. We drove to the place where I had written directions and the car GPS. Yup, the road was closed. We asked where it is from someone in the area. It sounded correct. We followed directions in the same area for at least 30 minutes. I couldn’t find a phone #. The reservation was for 1pm. It was getting there. We thought we would miss the cruise. Finally we went back to the hotel. Luckily, it was 12:50. We asked to park the car there. They charged us $10/ night. Shuttle leaves at one! Just made it.
They left us at the end of the pier. We walked and walked. Then the ramps are going up at least 5. On ship!!
We go to our room 9354 outside with a balcony. Nice, we unpack. Then take a walk. We’ll you can’t miss Effy.
Effy took 2 floors. I have never seen so much beautiful jewelry in one place in my life. Everything is beautiful. However, the crowd was like NYC during New years Eve. The number of sales people were overwhelming. Their had to be around 50 salespeople. Most incredible, we ran into Laura and Eugene, the ones who sold me the diamond bracelet that got us this free cruise. They remembered my name!!
We went to the buffet and took a look. But we ate all sorts of food. Pizza, desserts tiny pastries, fruit the pineapple is so sweet. Picked at other items. I already ate enough for the week.
Well we brought more clothes than ever. They have a special dress code for each night. For example, yesterday was white, dress up tonight with mask. Then cowboy, copacabana, beach, 90s. We are not into this mode.But, we brought clothes for it.
Then we went to dinner. Yummo! It was Thai coconut soup, escargot, roast beef, and rum rain ice cream with flan. We ate with some nice folks.
We were both exhausted. Instead of seeing a comedian, we decided to go to our room.
