Wake up hurry we gotta get out we are traveling to VT today. I am dressed by 9am eating breakfast..that doesn’t happen to often. Scurry to get ready cats in truck, no we have to wait because El is talking away! Over 30 mins but whose timing it!
We hit the road not bad but gets bogged down near Troy. El thinks we will not get there till sundown moving at 20mph.
The MTns are so pretty and are getting bigger. The water is freezing here. Well we finally pull thru a cute town with outlets..El says no! Not fair.
We get to the campground and there is a watering hose on our site. We move over but between 2 trees. El makes it.
Our friends come to pick us up. It was so good to see them. They drove us to their log house in the MTns. I loved it. It is a log house and the decor is bears and moose so great! The furniture is thick logs beautiful. It is so peaceful and quiet. They have 3 floors hardly a cabin. We chatted and had wine and cheese.
Then they took us to the Vermont Store which had samples of cheeses, crackers, bath stuff, jellies, clothes and Charley chips in a can..wow that takes one back!
They drove us around the neighborhood, showed us their golf course, the ski MTns, and towns. It was so nice. Then we stopped at the Grafton Inn barn for brew and burgers. It was a wonderful time. I wish we had set aside more time to be here and visit.
It was great to see them.
