The two days are kind of jumbled together. The first day was so hot I think I just melted. And to think I left Fl for this heat! We walked around to get ourselves oriented. There are so many RVs here and the place is huge!
I saw some cute things thou. I didn’t have my camera but will take it around to get pics. The place is run by the 4h club. They are the cutest plant arrangements.
The grounds are next to a major train track. Let me tell you that we may be at the far end of the grounds but when you get closer to the middle or other end it feels Iike the train is running thru your RV. It runs often enough to be annoying!
Then on one of our walks we hear horses. So we came upon a tournament. It was with little kids I mean under 10 at the most. They were so cute in their boots and hats and jeans. And some were fithy. But they handled the horses as their pets. We have dogs or cats they have horses! We watch a race where one girl was on the horse at the end of the stadium. A second girl was standing on a barrel at the other end. The premise was to get the horse down at the end and pick up and rescue the one on the barrel on the same horse! Halarious I had tears! One girl the horse bucked and kick off, one girl fell off, others jumped off the barrel and the front Girl release the strups so the other can get on. So fun!
We saw barns set up for all sorts of animals. Pigs, chickens have little cages with water access, cows have long rows to fit in, horses have stalls, we saw the names who one the pig contest!
We meet a lady from South Carolina! I could have listened to her accent all day it was so southern!
It finally rained this afternoon and I am hopeful it becomes less humid and hot.
