Tazamanian devils, kangaroos, and wombats, and koalas oh my! AWESOME DAY!!!! We met our Tour guide Ruth at 8am! First she drove us around neighborhoods. I thought Tazmania to be a primitive island with animals and cold..wrong! It’s rather a huge city spread out and lots of nice homes expensive too.
We stopped for water and bought delicious pastries like baklava. We then drove up this big mountain Wellington and overlooked Hobart on the water. Very picturesque! The road was tight driving with the wheel on the right and driving on the left…I continually flinched in the front seat.
We then went to frogmore winery for a tasting! Needless to say the Pinot Grigio was spot on delicious! Oh, Pinot noir was good too! Yes I left with them!
We then went to an animal sanctuary! Oh My! We petted an enormous wombat, came face to face with a Tasmanian devil, and feed kangaroos! One with a baby in the pocket! It was awesome! We saw bird, an adorable sleeping koala bear and a quonell?.bet you never heard of that one!
We stopped in a town that had older homes and was touristy for lunch. I had a yummo chicken curry in a pastry crust! Ruth joined us and our friends. It was such a good day!
We rested and had dinner. The food is nothing to write about so far. We saw the show a man from Nashville. He sang all over the place like a Las Vegas review. He was entertaining.
