July 28 Loundonville, Ohio campground

I started to read a new book last night and feel asleep before writing my blog😫. I don’t like doing that because what if the brain forgets overnight! I’m getting older soon!

It is amazing how many folks left yesterday it’s crazy crowded on weekends only!

An example of the crowds!

I guess they have to go to work! Ha, hey wait I put my hours in for sure! I can be retired and loving it!

Our site is on the end so it’s pretty! With patio and river view! There are only maybe 5 like it!

We had French toast for breakfast, yummo! It’s a treat! Hope I don’t put back the lb I lost!

It is pretty hot yesterday, but still not the humidity of Florida. You feel hot, but not drenched!

We decided to do laundry, back and forth 3x a 4 min walk that’s 12minutes!😁! Then we took a walk around the place, for 15minutes! El, being mayor, tells me everything they should do differently on the the premises, there are pretty grounds not in use, yet everyone is packed together! Then the place makes and doesn’t fulfill promises like adjusting more sites like ours or adding cabins. It’s like a camping timeshare. Expensive, it’s like maybe $12,000 to join! No, we did not pay that 50 years ago!

It was hot today so we didn’t take ghost for a walk.

For dinner I made a shrimp stir fry with veggies and sweet potato noodles, and boy are they yummo! I also had a Guinness and wine for dinner..hope I don’t find my lb!

Today (29th) everyone is gone! You can see clear to our RV!

  1. Makes sense that these campgrounds are crowded on summer weekends.

For book recommendations, I like everything by Doris Kearns Goodwin and Jon Meacham.
Also re-read Big Russ and Me by Tim Russert.
