Sept 15 & 16 haymarket VA to Gordonsville, VA trek home

Sept 15th

Well, not a great start. Yesterday when we went to set up, the RV was on a hill, I released the arm, which disconnects the RV from the truck, the feet were NOT down. The RV flew off the truck! Yep, we now have a a destroyed truck rear, and two holes in the corners of the front of the RV. You can’t imagine the fear when you see it happen!Luckily no one is hurt! I can talk no more about it. My stomach is shot!

However, we need to move on, so we tie up the rear of the truck hook up the RV and move on. Unfortunately, I suggest we take the scene route. Turns out it was not a good idea. el hated the drive, the truck nearly over heated, we used up all the gas. We are lucky we made it to the campground.

You would think that’s okay. But, the spot was a back in and it was too small for our RV. Didn’t work. We went back for a different spot. We got there and someone was in it! Then we were calling for help when security came and told us he was informed to take us to a different spot! Ok so we follow him to another spot. A pull thru so it worked. We were spent by then. Luckily I took steaks out for dinner. These spot are elegant defines glamming. A really nice BQ grill is on the spot. We had steak , corn on the cob and salad. Good dinner. but, I was so spent from the day I went to sleep at 9:30.

Well I slept late 9:30am the cat licked my eye lid. Real gentle but it wakes you up for sure! I did my exercises and weights. But by the time we got it together it was noon for breakfast.

We finally started out to the Trump winery. We took the map directions. Apparently, it was not good for el. It was long, scenic, but a miserable drive . So he complained most of the way, We made it to Trump winery. We still like the wine made in bourbon barrels. But, expensive, but we bought a bottle! We left and went to Horton. A stop we always make and they have 40 wines. We got there following a straight route. We tried the wines yummo. But, not as good as we are use to. The owner died last year. So we ended up buying Half a case. We usually buy a case.

We went back to the campground. I made dinner. Breaded pork chops, green beans and all the rices, lentil, leftovers.

Too tired to continue until tomorrow!

Winery pictures and some homes and st of Gordonsville, blue ridge mtns too,
