Oh my I’m up at 6:30am! I dress and get ready for breakfast at 7:30am! Me at breakfast 7:30am May be a record! Anyhow, we go back to our room get our “stuff” what’s that? Purse, sucking candy, tissues, phone, I pad, copy passport ticket for tour, euros!
We go to the theatre to wait. They call our # and we go to the bus. We haven’t taken a ship tour in years. We always use private tours from “TOURS BY LOCALS” never had a bad tour they have been great!
We drive we see enough olive trees to supply the rest of our lives in salad oil! Every where for Miles and miles are oil trees. In the city of Malaga there are huge hi-rise apts tons of them.
We get to Córdoba in 1.5 hrs. The first thing we visit is this mosque/ cathedral. Dates back to 700. The place is gigantic and multiple columns, ceilings were so elaborate, there were changes to wood patterns that are exquisite, it is so enormous. It was originally a mosque turned cathedral and at times they both had sections. Amazing site to see. Especially after all the churches I have seen over the years, this is extraordinary.
We also went into a Sephardic Jewish area. There was a temple the size of a large bathroom, but it dates back to the 13-1400. Apparently Jews have follow their ancestry to Spain and 6200 Jews have Spanish hereditary this year.
There is silver that is spun finely into various articles but I just couldn’t get into it. So much for shopping.
But we went to an outside cafe, it was packed. We got something that looked like a fried hot dog with breaded crust. Inside is pork wrapped around ham and onion. There’s a name for it, but I forgot. It was okay, it’s a spain specialty thing.
We got back to the ship and it was dinner time. We went to happy hour had a few drinks sat with a couple of couples and went to dinner. Sat next to an RV owner who gave up. My husband was in his element. They left and we ate our dessert and theirs!
Am I exhausted? Absolutely! We walked around forever. The streets are narrow and are half cobble stones, not my favorite. I need a message!
At least tomorrow is the final day at sea. We get off the next day!
Luv yas
