First let me write we are not thrilled about this trip to Indiana. Our RV glamping home is hurt. The bedroom slide does NOT come out! It was fixed once but it broke again. Before we started out yes we called continually the camp sites and hotel and repair shop to make sure they would be open. Confirming that we packed up.
The morning we left my son had a virtual Dr. visit with Mayo. It is weird for sure but you have the Drs full attention.
So we load up the frig with food figuring 5 days up and back and in the shop totaling 15 days.
April 1 we set off to Cecil, GA. This camp ground was a bit busy but right on the hywy. You would think the trucks were headed for you! So we left the tV louder. It’s kind of funny, think of your husband laying next to you and he has to pee. He has to climb over you to get to the toilet and climb back! It’s hilarious!! Gotta see the humor😂😂
The ride the next day April 2, Adairsville, Ga. in the north part. I thought GA was know for peaches and pecans! Well, Mohawk Carpet huge no gigantic bldgs in more then one area. Crazy!
So around Atlanta there was plenty of traffic. Mostly truckers and cars too. Thins out as you head north. So how do we do gas up?
El has gloves and wipes. And hand sanitizers. So it’s a production step by step. Preparation takes longer than getting the gas! Pee you ask, thinking where? Ha we are bringing our toilet! So we don’t go in bldgs or speak to anyone. No one is wearing masks as far as we saw. We had a can of sardines and crackers for lunch and a kind bar for dessert.
I am reading a book while he drives. For dinner we had salad with ham. I put the kitchen sink in the salad.
So the next day April 3, we drove to cave city, Kentucky, north of the corvette museum. Every sign is cave this or cave that rocks everywhere. The ride was so pretty we kept seeing the pink and purple 🌸 trees. It was a long ride. Again we don’t see many folks but no masks. The traffic was crazy around Nashville both trucks and cars.
We finally got to our campsite it was so pretty, I will try to add the picture. It was so beautiful outside it was in the 70s but no humidity. Gorgeous day.
I read an aarp magazine and a camping magazine. Very relaxing. If there are 10 RVs I would be surprised. We registered and the man comes out with a sanitized pen in a bag. We use our own.
We watch TV all about the Virus. We are constantly washing our hands. I’m surprised there is skin left. I made kale, sausage and couscous for dinner.
This morning El shows me the shoes he brought with him, not only are they different colors, different fabric, they are also only for the right foot! Ya gotta laugh 😂 I went hysterical 😂😂 just keeping the humor!
So. That’s brings me up to date. We still call ahead to make sure everyone is open. Hoping all u r safe, washing hands, using masks.
I have ours, our dear friend made for us just in case we need to go near folks.
Hope you enjoyed! You can leave a comment if u choose.😁
