It was hard to leave our pretty campsite in Kentucky but we must push on. We don’t have a long day so we decide to have eggs and toast with avocado and fruit! El is in charge of breakfast. It’s beautiful outside.
We are leaving Kentucky to Indiana. Pack up and go. We do not remove the truck from the 5th wheel, the RV remains attached. It’s pretty country in Kentucky. We saw rolling hills and lots of pretty horses eating the grass. Ya gotta luv the hills and mountains. We saw a horse laying down scratching his back rolling back and forth on his back! A first for me!
It is so different from palm trees where we live. The farms are huge and go on forever. It is a short driving day just a couple of hours ride. We go thru Louisville Kentucky. They have an enormous stadium. There are signs for Kentucky downs. There are even signs for bourbon! The trip thru here several summers ago was great. The story of the horses that race at Kentucky downs, the $$$$ the story surrounding the horses is fascinating and is big business here.
Then we were driving the bourbon belt turned me into a believer of bourbon. In fact my last cruise I ordered bourbon with a little Diet Coke! Oh, I still love gin and tonic but tankeray is also my favorite. The spices change in the different brands.
Roads were empty going north, even the big cities weren’t crowded with cars and trucks. I wrote my blog on the way.
We got to the campgrounds. The road was narrow, the houses looked like if you huff and puff they could be blown down. Yet, they all had horses. The campground is crowded with lots of bare trees. The more we looked it turns out the RVs had wood stacks, wooden stairs, these folks live here year round! Yet our campsite faces the woods.
I looked thru a food network magazine. It gave me more ideas for appetizers! I enjoy making those for people.
Time for dinner, I made pork and bok Choy stir fry. I sliced up the frig, like garlic, red pepper, ginger, onion. It came out good. Delicious!
We watch TV and I write my blog. Then tired for sleep. It’s going down to the 40s at night. We have 2 electric heaters, a fireplace and a furnace with heat. So far so good! Thanks for coming along.
I don’t know how to add pictures. It’s changed from previous years!😨
