We got up again before 7:00am but El was really worried about the forecast of thunderstorms, tornadoes and wind. It was drizzling when we were getting ready. I had cottage cheese and fruit with coffee. I inhaled it. Thru clothes on, at least it is warm rain. Ha I did my job closing up inside.
By the time we hit the road it was a heavy rain. Ok but El has driven in heavy rain. But, the wind picked up and you can feel the truck being pushed.
The sky was very thick and getting darker. It made me nervous! Then the alarm on the. Radio kept going off every few minutes. The radio announces the counties in jeopardy of serious storms, and possible TORNADOES! It’s one thing to be told on tv and see the awful damage but to hear it’s near you yikes! Then it got worse and they added hail and doom! Our only salvation was we saw the light!
We hoped that we could reach the light without damage! We never did get hail or thunder just awful wind and pounding rain. We finally reached the light and just before leaving the dark pouring rain Georgia lawn mowers were cutting the grass! Poor guys.
We were getting out and seeing light and we passed a huge ground with multiple colored cows!

We drove the rest of the way in rain but nothing like that in Georgia. Then finally, we reach Florida oh yes! And how did we know ?
PALM TREES! You forget how much you see them until you don’t! It was so nice to see mountains and trees and hills and flowered trees. But, yes I’m glad to be headed home to get my kitties too!
We finally got to the campground, honestly they have all been nice. We set up and it’s 3pm. I have some time to relax.
I prepare some snacks and a wonderful gin and tonic! I get my book and between last night and this afternoon I finished it. If you have faith you will love it. If you have less faith, the path of the folks is deeply written and the aura around them is wonderfully written. I too enjoyed it. Great pick.
i decide to make dinner but this is our last night so I make salmon cakes. I picked a simple recipe, with broccoli and wild rice. It was very good. We opened our last bottle of white wine. El had a shower and is in rare form. I love it. He had a tuff ride and was worried about the weather. We watched the news and heard, hail size stones fell and a tornado did touch down somewhere in Georgia. Crazy!
The rain here was coming down pounding on the roof. It was so loud. Then out of nowhere a strike of lightening and thunder that was so loud and shook the RV. My heart was pounding I felt the floor move. Never was I that close to a strike of lightening. What’s weirdest after the strike of thunder and lightening the rain stopped! Crazy right?
This brings you up to date. I wish to take a shower. I need it. We will be home tomorrow yeah! But it’s a tuff day, empty and pack RV, pick up cats, get them food, put stuff away, go to post office. Just too much stuff!
