Palm Coast, FL home at last! 4/23/20

We get up and we don’t have all day to drive!  It is darkish outside and humid! Yuck! But, I Get going dressed and start throwing everything in bags. Two laundry bags, 3 bathroom bags, 3 bottles bag, 2 pantry bags. El is strong because he carried them all to the truck when we got to storage, I could hardly budge them!
We have breakfast eggs and toast with avocado. El put the new A/C on. It starts to rattle like crazy making terrible noise. Really?  We speak to the mechanic and he tells El how to fix it and thinks something is loose. Hope so.

We get on the road,  it’s grey outside looks like rain.  Last night when I went to bed I turned the TV on and the channels were tracking tornados on streets not far from us on the map.  In reality it was maybe 10 miles but on a map it’s very little distance. I feel asleep clinging to the map. They even had the audacity to say get to shelter if your in an RV. PANIC!

We finally get to the storage area and park the RV and disconnect. BUT, now El has to take it all the bags to the truck. We finally leave there and go to the post office and pick up a bucket of mail. Filled with stuff.  I don’t look forward to going thru it all!

Then we stop to get cat food at pet supermarket. They only allow 2 people at a time and the clerk gets you what you want! Then u pay and get out. We bring the truck home. Now El has to take all the bags  out of the truck and bring them in the house. It is a lot of work. I go inside and at a minimum unpack the huge refrigerator bag and the freezer bag. I’m good everything fit.

El goes to start the car. Nice it turns on. It has been sitting for a month.  We get to my son and it is so good to see our kitties. We pack them up and bring them home. We fed them and they followed us everywhere. There were salmon cakes left over with salad for dinner.

I try and unpack everything. I know tomorrow there will be loads of laundry. By the time everything is done and we eat and things are put away we are shot and tired.

it was a long trip. Much longer than we expected, however, our bed slide works  it just cost an awful lot to fix.  And now the A/C is not right. It’s always something.

This concludes my adventure. Send me a sign you read it. I know who leaves me messages but I know there are a lot more because they send me messages whether  there are a lot of hits. Hope you enjoyed coming along.

My next travel blog probably won’t be until end of May.  Thanks for your comments I luv them, please stay safe and healthy.  I’m glad I do not know anyone who came down withe the virus. I must be an awful worry.  Until next time, 0E67443C-972D-45BF-BEB5-D3FB112AB00Bremember your glass is always half full!  Above, no shopping yet, the outlets in St Augustine not 1 car!,,,,😨

  2. Happy you are home and loved your trip. I remember when we were in state of Washington and our slide did not work. We had to wait for one week until a lift was available to fix problem.
