Today was a crazy busy day. I am exhausted from this day! I woke up in the night and heard pounding and thought the cats were ripping something to shreds. But, I listen again and it was pounding rain on the roof! I felt better and tried Togo to sleep. The cats were unsettled because it is so loud.
I slept until 9:00 it was raining off and on. El made a yummo omelette type breakfast with avocado and salsa! It was so good.
We decided to do laundry only one person is aloud in the room so I lucked out 2 machines were open and no one there. I threw my stuff in 2 machines. $2.00 a wash! Cheap enough. I went back to the RV and came back to move to dryers. .25 cents for 10 minutes. Good deal Three quarters for one and 4 for the other! Big huge commercial dryers. Yeah! I finally got the clothes washed.
Then El wanted matzoh ball soup. He kept giving hints, it would be good to have some soup. I had taken chicken out. El the chicken needs to be cooked. Okay I am in. It’s not hard but time consuming cutting garlic and onions to tiny minced pieces. Then mix with eggs, then mix the matzoh with spices, then add the eggs to the meal and let it sit for 30 mins in frig. Now you have to get the soup together so cook chicken, garlic, onion, noodles separately. Then, I cook the matzoh balls in broth others do not. I boil the broth, then make balls put them in the broth and cook for half hour. Then assemble soup. I wasn’t planning on writing all that not sure why I did.
On top of that I had taken sausage ground already from the freezer and El complained it’s going to get brown. So I start to prepare food for tomato sauce. Everyone has their own touch but it’s also time consuming with a lot of steps. However, I hung in there and made 2 big jars.
We should be eating fairly well the next few days. For dinner tonight we had matzoh ball soup. El likes a green so we had Brussels sprouts on the side. Sounds weird, well it was but that was my oldest green.
After we cleaned up all the dishes which were many but I think the utensils to cook and stir and cut and transfer were way more.
El wanted to go for our walk. It is really to hot during the day to take a walk around. But we find as the sun goes down before dark it is much cooler outside and the humidity drops. We walked along the river and it’s nice. There are spots open along the river, including our favorite. Too bad we couldn’t get it. But this time of year you got to reserve as far in advance as you are aloud to in you contract.
Anyway, there is no TV here. It is weird but I take one night at a time.
Oh there is a camper in back of us that looks exactly like one of our male friends from VT. it is so scary how much they look alike. I must get a picture and send it!
I took only one picture today of my cat he was so cute sleeping on top of the couch.
Well I will read my book now. Or try and catch up with my emails as this place has internet. It was horrible without it.
I guess I lost readers in the last place as I didn’t write everyday folks lost interest. It’s ok. The blog is for my memory. I share it cause my son told me folks might like to read it along with my travels.
