So I am still in front of a garage while they fix the leaked bottom of my slide floor. I am up and dressed at 7am. While it looked like maybe by tomorrow it will be done. Wait what about the slide on the other side?
Ah, but we must order a part that won’t be here until Monday! So much for leaving tomorrow. The thing is why leave if we are here and we have the best mechanic for RVs working to repair it. So I take a big, no bigger breathe and we are here over the weekend in hopes the part will come and we can leave Tuesday. But, as I always tell my kids, one day at a time.
El decides to make French toast. Yummo! With blueberry syrup from Maine, not VT, as I seem to always write. The word syrup throws me off! It was delicious with fruit too!
I worked on my recipes and oh no I am finished! I worked on it most of the day but it’s a done project. It is pretty cool. Like tonite I made salmon. So I go to the fish recipe book and look up salmon and quickly find something I want to try. For me it’s really great. I love to cook and read recipes. I am not exact in following the instructions but it gives me the foundation., and I go from there.
Well for dinner I made salmon, baked with lemon, garlic, shallots and spice. Then green beans, and I found 90 second farro! Yummo! Oh and we had a before dinner drink! It was wonderful bourbon cherry! Too sweet for El, but for me yippee!
After dinner El wanted to walk. My first step outside in 2 days. So sad I know! But, it was a beautiful night and so we walked the street. It is so busy during the day and we know why now. For one, the RV manufacturing of Heartland RVs is down the road a huge bldg. Honestly it felt good to get out.
Now I am watching I think Chicago PD. Then I will read and go to bed. Finally we don’t have to get up early, yes! I’m too old for this early stuff!
