This is an important date 8/8/1990. My son got his 1st of three kidney transplants. On this day in 1990 he got his dads. He dad is no longer with us.
The second was a cadaver and the third was mine in April 2000. I think dates again are a problem for me. Good thing my BD is on a major event 9/11. That’s a ha!
Yesterday was boring. I woke at normal time 9:30 and did my exercises. It was tuff because I haven’t had the time to do them. Especially when the mechanic shows up at 7:30! The nerve!
So we had breakfast a noon, that’s my speed in my old age. Another ha!
What did I do today? I finished my recipes. Done! 5 books worth. yup, meat, veggies, desserts&appetizers &drinks, fish, chicken. Now what?
I started the book the warmth of other suns. One of my bookies suggested I take notes. I usually don’t but I decided to write some stuff. I even went backwards. Good thing too, because it follows 3 folks during the black folks migration from the depressed south to freedom in the north. It is interesting. What bothers me some, it goes until 1975. I was 25 and had little knowledge of what was going on. In fact n high school and college there were only a handful of blacks. We knew 2 towns I can recall as being where the black folks were located. But I had no idea what they suffered continually. It was their existence one can’t even imagine the horror.
I had bought a new stone mtn purse. It is Black and Tan. They had white and black or white and turquoise. I thought, with the respect I give them the white would be black in a day. So I had to put it back. I switched purses. Couldn’t fit everything in the new one. BUT, yes there is a but, I carry 2 sets of keys and only during glamping time! Truck and RV. Maybe I can take some keys off?
I was too tired to do dinner so we had bought a cooked chicken in sams. I made this big salad,with everything but the kitchen sink and topped it off with chicken.
Afterwards I tried reading some more. I am 39% done. I got caught up in some movie with D anero and Pachino. But, I started to fall asleep. Why I am writing this the next day.
Anyhow, once again thanks for hanging with me. Honestly I didn’t think I knew as many people as there are reading this blog. Thank you if I bring a little smile it is worth sharing my thoughts. Have a good evening.
