We get up and it’s chilly in the 50s and rain all night. But it’s suppose to hold off till the afternoon 3-4ish. I pray it is so because one of my life long BFFs is coming to join me for lunch.
I dress totally in grey as that is the only sweater I have with me.
She arrives around 11am perfect! The inns in Gettysburg open around 11 to 11:30am. We go to Dobbins house, we have been here before a while ago and we have no reservation and although rainy it’s still Gettysburg!
Yeah! We get in and get to eat wherever we want , the main house, the tavern or outside. We pick the tavern. It’s pretty cool restored to the 1800s and dressed in period clothes. We had a great time catching up. We both had onion soup, yup with tons of onions and bread and tons of melted cheese yummo! We both ordered a salad, huge! With walnut bread. We ate for 2 hours. I had some bar drink..she’s driving so she had wine.
We came back and she left it was not raining and I was glad. It didn’t start again till 4pm and she had plenty of time to get home.
I could not eat dinner. I even brought my walnut bread and some of the salad back! I tried to read but started sleeping. I starred at the blacklist On TV, I used to watch it when it first started.
I ate some popcorn while watching. I’ve had a good time eating these last week. I don’t want to do the scale tomorrow.
