We are still here but not quite bored yet! Today was another busy day. We had bagels with whitefish, for breakfast it was delicious. If you’re Jewish you get it! Ha!

I decided it was laundry day! Exciting, right? We brought the wash to the room with the machines, and no one was using any of them! That has never happened? What I love is they have that square that you hold your phone camera over and if you have a card pay, for example, I have it with American express, it somehow picks up the card processes the payment and you press start! It is very cool! I am so not techy, and I get this. I’m cool!

It took two washing machines and two dryers for $10.00. I think it’s the going rate! I folded all the laundry dry and put it away.

The next exciting thing was making matzoh ball soup! It’s not so simple as you think! I already had a roasted chicken from Sam’s. They are the best huge chickens 3lbs or more for $5.00. Everywhere else it $6 or $7 for smaller chickens. So I took off the skin and, with no mercy, took out the bones. Then you have to shred it. Mean while you boil water and cook some pasta or noodles to put in the soup. When the shredding is done, I take kale and shred that for the soup and remove the fat stems.

When the pasta is done, you need to put chicken broth to boil and prep the matzoh ball mix. When boiling, you make the balls and drop them in. At the end, you add the chicken kale and pasta. It was so delicious! I thought I had 3 big bottles at least 2 to put in the freezer. But, he ate so much I only had 1 and 1/2 bottles left!

Now, the worst of the day was when I was done with the shredding chicken. I had to put the wash into the dryer. I left the chicken out on the counter. He stepped out to do something, and when he came back, he heard a loud thud! Not good! Ghost jumped on the counter and was eating the chicken! A bad boy! He didn’t get much, but the nerve of him jumping up there!

So it’s not exciting stuff, but it made the day go by fast. Hope you had a good day. I have a friend at home who had surgery and now has complications we pray can be fixed. Another friend is doing better and healing well. You just want everyone you know to be well.

Thanks for stopping by it is forever an honor for your time. Take care, and stay safe!

You are on vacation and yet you are cooking from scratch!! I’m impressed as my cooking skills are declining as I make easier and easier meals. Keep it up:)
