It’s Sunday, a boring day! That’s why I didn’t write. In fact, I wrote yesterday today.

Well, I exercised, but I had to use 3lb wts, pathetic? But I always say you got to start from somewhere. At home, at one point, I was doing 10 lbs. Will I get there ? No answer! Then I showered. I don’t mind it. I hate it when I hit the handle and the water turns cold. But, I got thru it.

We had chocolate pancakes! Yummo! With fruit on top and VT Maple syrup for breakfast! Yummo!

I wrote some checks. The mailbox is up the big hill. We decided to take a walk. Nope, the mailbox hill is a killer. We are going out tomorrow so I will bring them.

Ghost loves the walk, even adults stop us to see such a beautiful cat. We took a long walk, avoiding the bigger hills.

We watched TV ate leftovers and went to bed.

MONDAY THE 12TH,

We got up and got ready to go. I made an appt with Walmart to get new glasses. It is hell trying to live with these reading glasses or glued glasses that are not right. I can’t take it anymore. Besides, the sun is brutal without any sun protect at all.

First we went to the food market. We didn’t get much, but it was still $80.00. The weather prediction was doom rain thunder and hail. We got our food to the truck and got back and it poured rain. But, not for long.

At the optical area, I found cheap glasses. $28.00. I figure get the basic glasses and get home and go to Mayo.

Well, to my surprise this, Dr. was wonderful! She had all the equipment and then some. She gave me a total exam. She even showed me a picture of the inside of my eye! It was a great exam. I still only have slight evidence of cataracts. I have no macular degeneration and no glacoma! I am doing great! Unfortunately, I didn’t travel with my Wellness BC/BS card! So it cost me $320.00 for glasses. I pray they are ready on the 21st. The checkout woman told me the 22nd the latest.

Afterward, down the street is the country discount grocery! OMG! Awesome! It is like Trader Joe’s half price. I bought a little of this and that for $89.00. But what deals! While in the store, the rain would periodically flood outside for 5 minutes and stop.

We hurried home. The sky the opposite way was black! We hurried back, not much traffic. We got the groceries inside and within 5 minutes it poured rain. Lasted for a while, but just rain. No thunder or hail.

I put the groceries away and had a drink. It soothes the soul!

Then I decided to make salmon, an interesting dish with pasta, mushrooms, white wine, lemon, capers and I added diced tomato. It was yummo!

So, all in all, it was an okay day. Relax, watch some TV, look at emails, and write my blog!

Oh, I forgot to add on the way back, I saw baby cows! So, it’s cute to see these small black and white babies. And no, I didn’t have the camera ready. But, they are born black and white!
