6/22 Gettysburg PA

It still isn’t nice outside, and it’s chilly in the RV. I got this swirled rye bread at the Amish store, yummo! I made toast with avocado and had it with my scrambled eggs. Delicious!

Well, he promised me we would go to Walmart to fix my glasses my ear hurts from the pressure. I also got a horrible stabbing pain in my right foot when I woke up. Scarey, I think my lower back may be braking up from surgery nearly 20 years ago. I hope not.

After breakfast, we got in the truck and drove to this gigantic shopping area in Hanover, PA. For example, for food alone, there was giant, Aldis, and walmart. Animal food, pet, smart, and Petco. Restaurants there were over 2 dozen. It was pretty crazy. The lady in the optical store looked at my glasses and immediately took them and knew what to do. They are fine now.

On the way back, we saw some homes that are so typical of these towns I had to take some pictures.

It is hard to get the extensions in the back and all the electric meters for how many people or families live in one house. It is another way of surviving.

The ride was therefore interesting something new. It is so cold and raining. We stopped at a beer joint on the way back, and it was gigantic. They had every flavor you could think of in cans and bottles. We stuck to our favorite, Guinness for me, and Corolla for him. We got a chocolate frozen drink with booze. We shared the frozen drink on the way back. It was delicious.

We got back, and we had bought a rib eye roast that looked so good for dinner. However, every recipe interestingly said the same exact things. Marinate overnight, same ingredients, then cook 450 for 15 min and 325 for 65 minutes. So I marinated it, put in frig and took out the salmon I defrosted in the morning.

The salmon was great, wild caught. Put some mustard on it. Then some spices, then mix some butter and panko, put that on it, then slices of lemon on top. Cook 425 for 12 minutes and yummo!

Well, it’s actually late going on 9:30pm. I want to clean up and get ready to get in bed and read or watch some TV, depending on how I feel when I get in.

Here’s hoping tomorrow will be a brighter day, it’s June. Although I do feel bad for those in Texas who are literally broiling.

Well, once again, it’s summer, so thank you for stopping by. I so appreciate it. Stay safe and healthy, and enjoy!
