It is supposed to be a yucky day weather wise. We planned to go out to eat. I thought he would cancel. BUT! He decided we would go out for an early lunch and avoid the rain predicted for later. Then we just had some fruit bowls instead. Enough to take my meds. Then we started to pack up. We leave tomorrow. I pack all the booze, except some and beer….just in case! Ya never know. We are still on vacation!

So we packed the big suitcase and put all the booze in the car. We got in and then drove to the main street, which was so packed with people and cars. It was like looking at a full parking lot! It was nuts! We took the long way around to some extent. But we sat there with a million cars rolling a head without touching the gas!

Oh, he decided we should fill the tank. We pass the first station and realize there is no diesel. We kept going to the next station and then realized we were in the car, not the truck. Boy, did we have a good laugh!

It must be the thing here to raise your truck above the wheels. Almost every truck was so high!

This is a low example!

We finally rolled our way to the restaurant. Buddies BQ, it is like McDonald’s. You put in the order from the menu and wait for your tray.

He swore it is the best BBQ in the area! Ok? And on Sat the spare ribs are all you can eat! Well, we got our dinner and sat down in a booth. I got corn and slaw he got beans and slaw. Well, let me tell you the ribs were to die for!! Yummo! I sat and ate my ribs so delicious and as truth would have it a man came with a basket for more if we wanted. They give you 6 to start with plenty of meat. The corn was not what I’m used to big kernels and very yellow? The slaw was good, but the ribs. Oh, I almost forgot the 4 hush puppies they give you. I luv them. They probably have zero dietary value, and I have honestly never made them. I’m probably glad they aren’t plentiful where I live. Time to go, and i can’t get up. My stomach is in the way!

We came back a different way because the main street is a grid lock. Then, as predicted, it started to rain. OMG! A 15 min drive took over an hour, and that’s using the back streets. It’s hell to get around. But we did get back in one piece. He made some coffee and we will watch college football.

All in all, it was a fun place. There is always something to do it’s crazy.

But, it’s time to slow down and get in time with the home scene. I hope my friends had a good summer. I hope no one got caught in trouble with the rain from the hurricanes.

Speaking of which, it was pouring while we crawled back to the resort, but this is why the mountains are called the smokeys!

See the smoke rise?

Well I hope you enjoyed this blog and I gave you a smile. That’s what I wish for so you don’t think it’s a waste of your time. So luv yas. There’s only a few more days and this blog will be done. But don’t dismay, there will be another I think in November.

Enjoy!
