May 15 & 16 Gettysburg BRINKLEY!

Sorry I’m writing two days together but it is a blur. So Thursday was packed it up day. We packed and packed and then packed some more. We has at least 40 bags included all the stuff hoses and gadgets from the compartments outside underneath the RV. EXHAUSTION! I was aching everywhere.

Thought I would give you a clue what it involved. The first picture is the bags in the bathroom, the 2nd is bags on our bed the third is the bags on the couch. I don’t remember when I went to bed or just passed out.

The following morning we were excited about getting our new travel trailer. We still had to pack up our everyday stuff. It’s like moving from a house you lived in for 10 years!

We got there about 11am and found the man who will work the deal. Well it wasn’t simple. First they had to do the plates. Talk about paper work. So not only are we switching plates but doing it in different states matters. So we have temporary tags. Then they inspected our RV. Of all the dozen RVs we’ve had thru the years, I haven’t seen an examination of our trade in like they did here.

But, then they had to go thru the new RV and explain everything. The systems are new and others things because we are going from a fifth wheel RV , that’s fits into the truck bed to one that pulls behind. Now because of that they had to remove the gigantic thing the RV came to be pulled on, to a completely new pull system with bars and chains. That took time. Then we had to sit for an hour to make the deal. The stack of papers to initial and sign was huge. We signed our life away over and over. But what about transferring our stuff? Luckily a lady heard my worry. She came over asked if she could help? Of course, she sent 8 young employees to switch the stuff. They set up a line pass from one to the other and got it done. I was so grateful! We drove back and put the new RV in a spot. I think we had an egg roll up for dinner. We basically dumped everything off the bed and passed out.

so thanks for reading my blog. Hope you like it. Stay healthy and Enjoy!

The packing sounded exhausting! But at least you had help at the end to transfer stuff. Hope you really enjoy your new RV.
