Friday March 24 Fredrick, MD 2024

I am getting tired of writing Gettysburg every day, and today, we took a detour to Fredrick.

We decided to go to Giant before it gets too intense on the holiday weekend.  It wasn’t too crowded. We got some corn even though it’s early. I love the stuff. It’s such a nice store. They have a roving robot. It stops and alarms if it finds an issue on the floor.

I tried to add the photo, but my skills have avoided my ability to retrieve it. 😔

Moving on, we drove back. Gettysburg is packed. People and cars, trucks everywhere! Wow! I forgot how crowded it becomes.

Today, I am so excited to meet our friends for dinner. We have been friends for so long. It’s so special to have close friends you don’t see and then it’s like yesterday they were there.

We stopped at Sam’s for gas and looked around. I did get a new pillow. The very old one is not working. Then we went to Golden Coral. We haven’t eaten there in a while. I took full advantage.  I ate fried shrimp, fried chicken, and sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping. Took broccoli,  Brussel sprouts for greens. But, then dessert! I took some of everything and went back for ice cream.  I love their bread pudding and banana pudding. No, I didn’t step on the scale!

Traffic was pretty crazy getting there and wasn’t too bad getting home. Still saw more traffic in one day than a year at home. BUT, lots of bldg going on so we will see what happens.

Well, today was a better adventure. Sorry I couldn’t get the pics to upload. We didn’t take a picture with our friends, not happy about that.

Thank you for stopping by to read my travel blog. I am forever grateful.

Enjoy!

It’s hard to believe you can eat like that and stay so slim. Haven’t had to use a laundromat in years (we are such home buddies) but it sounds wonderfully convenient being able to swipe a card instead of hording quarters. Hope yiur remaining days get more exciting:)
