June 17, 2024 still in East Stroudsburg  PA

Yup, I am here for another week.  It’s odd but all the sites around us have left? There are many great sites to be taken.  It seems crazy because this place has always been filled.

I was nervous, I had 1 pill left for my prescription. I called CVS here in town and left all the info to completely fill out a new prescription.  Not even 2 minutes later, CVS here calls and says she’s on it and filling it to come by after noon. Is that possible?

We have breakfast and drive over to CvS. Sure enough, they had it filled already.  FL is  never is that accommodating.

We road further up the road to this super nice, clean, and friendly Giant.  We had a few things to buy. 6 bagels were the key item. They were so big and fresh. Yummo! We also found reduced apple turnovers.. oh yummo!

The store is so nicely clean and friendly. This guy came up and asked if I needed help finding anything? He will take me to a produce item.  Who does that in Florida. Even when we checked out. The lady asked if I needed help with the groceries?

We got home, and I put the groceries away. Things are getting better. I can look in the frig and see stuff. We had another drink with bourbon. Yummo!

I tried a new recipe with chicken thighs with bourbon. Aside from all the cutting up to prepare the food.  It was so delicious!  No leftovers!

We tried to get the TV working but it’s not happening. It’s very frustrating.

    Andrea, You make such appetizing and interesting looking meals.  I found a recipe for this bourbon chicken thighs online and I’m going to try it.  I take a huge pass on the broccoli though! but have ordered a packaged maple bourbon salad to go with it.  I’ve had it before and it’s good.  My grocery order comes tomorrow so I’m looking forward to it.   I’m so sick and tired of the usual stuff I make.  I’ve tried some new recipes I found on the internet, but they stank.  Your pork chops with cherries looked great, but the recipes I found were too labor intensive.  I can’t stand up for more than about 20 seconds now, so what I make has to be fast and easy.

    Who does that in Florida?? To answer your question — Publix does. If I ask the location of something, the person I asked almost always walks me to the right location. And they always ask if I’d like help unloading the cart to my car. Hmmmm — maybe it’s because I am old? Anyway, the prices here don’t compare with what you are finding — but the workers are helpful:)
