I have never been here before. I believe it’s a fairly new stop for cruises. We had to take a tender boat to the shore. The water was shallow and light turquoise in color. It was a rather large boat and held a lot of passengers.
It was a bit confusing, but we were able to find our group. We got in a big bus. Riding along, it seems the houses are in need of upkeep, like painting and removing rusty wires. We stopped at a park to take pictures at a belize sign.
We drove some more, and one thing is positive they protect their homes. Almost every window has steel bars. Around the properties are barbed wire or fences with needle like tips. There are metal window slides. They want to make money, so there are people out selling whatever they can even sell food. Even if you’re buying from a store, some have small holes for the transactions. Wires are hung low, and they are all tangled in a mass. How they know what belongs to who is anyone’s guess.
It was a bus trip around the city. They did have a street or area where the wealthy live. Homes are over a million. They were nice and big.
We came back and had a bit of time, so we had a drink up on ten Captain Club we are elite plus. Afterward, we went to the martini bar, which was a treat.
We then went to dinner. i had chicken cordon Blu. It was great. We sat next to the 6-year-old James. He is such a delight.
We were both exhausted and decided to skip the entertainment.
Thanks again for stopping by to read my blog. I hope you smiled.
