we went on a trip to the country side. The towns are small. Apts are studios I’m sure with rooms being tiny there are no screens just open windows. The area around is agriculture and the farms are enormous. Mostly olive trees, rows and rows. Here and there wine too.
We stopped at a tiny village of cobblestone streets. Elliot recognized it we have been here before. A small church, a man hand making guitars. A cheese and olive oil shop. There was a market we walked through. It had second hand closes, lots of shoes. New stuff with tags a tee shirt was $55 euros way expensive.
Then we drove some more to a place that presses olive oil. They showed us the trees. They are split when young so they grow out instead of up. They press in the fall so no operation now.
We sat and tried different oils on bread, lettuce, prosciutto cheese and wine! It was a very taste. We did not by any $8 euros for half bottle.
We got back and went to happy hour 2 gin and tonics! Then to dinner merlot. But, a plate of Italian delacies yummo and cheeses yummo, rice balls, nearly matching my Italian friends, calamari ah my favorite! Then truffles oil pasta yummo lamb chops , then limoncello, yummo and Irish coffee with teramisu dinner was to die for it is Jamie Oliver’s specialty restaurant,! Yep El had to roll me back to the cabin!
Now up at 5:30am yes am we have a tour at 7:30 on the Amalfi drive to Sorrento! In Naples! Stay tuned!
Luv yas
