Suez Canal

I woke up at 5:00 am. Yes it was barely light outside but warm. On my balcony we were entering the Suez Canal. At the mouth is Port, Siad. It is enormous! I am telling you I use to work on the container piers in Brooklyn and New Jersey. string them all together and maybe, maybe you might have half. I have never seen such an operation!

Past that,  there are small barracks and tiny lookout post. All with guards with machine guns and bullet vests.  They are stretched periodically along the length of the canal. Other than that,  think sand more sand, high sand low sand as far as you can see. We searched for a camel but didn’t see one!

We finally around 9am decided to get something for breakfast. We are up early enough to go to the restaurant.
on our way, we notice the other side of the canal is so very different .  There are trees, scattered homes, greenery. The homes are just cement squares. Then we came upon a lake and a beach with plastic chairs, not lounges, chairs. But homes and folks waving as the ship passes.

The very few woman we saw are dressed from head to toe no skin anywhere, in fact their head and face except theirs are showing. It is so hot!

There were a few mosques, their writing reminds us of Turkey, I can not even describe it.

We crashed around 2pm. When we woke we were at the end of the canal. The Egypt side was a condensed city with high rise apts. the Jordan side sand. The water was a beautiful blue like the carribean.

We went to dinner in a strange restaurant Wonderland. The food was very unusually displayed before you. Very interesting!

Well my alien is about to be born! Very interesting day!

Hope you enjoyed!
