TO SEE NEW POSTED PICTURES GO BACK TO THE TRAVEL BLOG “AQABA JORDAN AND PETRA”
I have finally added pictures! We have had hardly any internet as we pass by Somiala and its pirates and across the bottom of Yemen. But we did not see pirates, guns, aircraft so we are good to go! We did stop in or near Salala, Omen to drop off 3 sick passengers! When the temperature is broiling, you have towns you cannot pronounce, women are covering their heads and you see camels wondering the landscape you know you are in the Middle East!
Aside from eating extremely well, for example, dinner appetizers are huge shrimp cocktail, escargot, onion soup yes loaded with yummo cheese, pear, cheese and walnut salad, a plank of cured Italian meats or grilled vegtables that’s starters!
Dinner you ask? Well steak, tenderloin beef cooked perfect, lobster tails, duck l’orange, broiled halibut, pastas with black truffles to die for, we are eating very well. That’s just dinner!
We eat breakfast my husband has oatmeal. I have eggs prepared a different way everyday, a piece of salmon some fruit and try to hold their. An imagine we stopped eating lunch! Oh.. my!
We have gone to various special events, art auction, I haven’t bought yet! A drink mixology class, a talk about the back room of the ship called 270. It is quite amazing and you just have to experience it. We went to a Q&A with the captain and his staff which was funny. A Chinese got up and went on and on in Chinese. The interpreter said he want the signs and menus and food in Chinese. The answer was for now your only 10 percent of the population but wait till we get to China.
We have gone to the shows which were ok. Last nite was a juggler, the nite before was a man who played an electrical xylophone which sounded like many instruments. He also played the Thurman. My husband remembers Sheldon playing one on Big Bang Theory.
