This is our second day in Singapore. We hired a lovely guide Anna. She took us to three religious temples, Taoist, Hindu and Buddhist. Each one was extraordinary for us as we have not experienced these religious beliefs.
The first was Taoist.
There are many legends in this temple. The Tigers are male and female and keep out evil spirits.
The figures on the doors are also protectors .
The next temple was Hindu and I can not describe the outside. As it is a complexity of figures and animals.
This religion also believes in figures and each one has its own power to ask for help.
The Buddhist temple inside which was air conditioned was most impressive with a display of gold, especially the Budda. There are something like 1001BuDDAS. Everyone was represented in this temple. Each one had hand symbols and may hold an object in the Hand.
We went to eat different foods in Chinatown. We even went to a tea appreciation. the rules to tea was amazing for one little sip. then you repeat the rules again and again.

Singapore is the number 1 cleanest city in the world! Yep it is so clean. AND the train system underground is beautiful and efficient. There are shops and restaurants and tunnels connecting buildings in the city. Of course it is not as old or extensive as NYC or DC. But for now, it was extraordinary.
