Day 1 May 25, 2016

We started packing a few days ago with food and clothes. We expect to be gone for 3 months. So we got up early left later than we thought and had to turn around because I forgot to take the cats food bowls and snack tower..we were not far. So since we did not fill the gas tank ahead of time we did that and stopped at the bank. So we return and start again.
we were told that Verizon was giving the military a discount and since El is retired Navy we stopped to check it out. Well, is anything ever easy? It took for ever to accomplish only to be told that the discount applies only to data for $15.00. Great we are on our way.
Stop one was to pick up fresh Georgia shrimp in Brunswick, GA. Yep, try pulling a 40 foot RV with a 10 ft truck in a drive way. We got our shrimp and could not get out! Stuck in the mud. The brake away wire snapped we got out of the mud.BUT we lost the brakes on the trailer. TALK ABOUT TENSION!
Well we contacted SAMs service and after a harrowing back and forth between SAMs service the RV mechanic and El where’s the gun to the head. Yes we drove 95N without breaks.
Lucky when I put the fish in the freezer I took out prepared food to defrost for dinner. And so we get to a camping spot without incident. Only to find the mechanic will cOme tomorrow.
