We did not have to get up and go anywhere, nice. However, cats want breakfast no matter where they are located. Therefore, Ghost, the white one yells maa in my ear. When that doesn’t work stormy, the black cat, bumps me with his head, and whips me with his tail, sits on my pee bone, and then licks my eye…now that will get you up!
It’s a sunny hot day. Last night we took a walk around and returned just before a strong thunder and pouring rain storm.
So we have breakfast and the family calls are coming in arranging the feast for tomorrow. The family Memorial Day feast. Oh yes it’s a production.
So we go thru Gettysburg. The fields of battle are kept so nice. The town is packed with people everywhere. There are groups of enactments and folks dressed up in cloths during the period of the civil war.
We go to Giant the food store. It is so well done and spacious and they have great choices. The is an entire section dedicated to gluten free. I mean aisles and frozen food too.
We get our corn and drinks for tomorrow. Come back and I manage to get it all In the frig, no easy task mind you.
Then my brother in law and his lovely wife join us. It was so nice to see them and catch up. We went to dinner at our favorite Italian place something Bella ..well I know how to get there! The food is yummy. We had to wait 30 mins. A girls soccer team took 4 tables!
We had pizza, calzone, and an antipasto salad. Good food only to be followed by another big meal tomorrow.
We said good nite and when we got back to our home away from home Els brother called and the reservation at the farnsworth Inn was no longer there! Now that stinks! Of course being a holiday there are no rooms available anywhere.
We offered our couch, but there are two cats and 1 bathroom, and they turned us down..can’t understand why? Anyhow, they are driving back home only to come back for at least an 1&1/2 ride back here tomorrow.
Sad ending to a good day…
