Up and stretch get these old bones pumping! No time to waste we are headed to Germantown to visit Els daughter and 5 kids, yeah wow!
Breakfast first cereal and fruit. Clean up. Next on order take a walk. Dump the garbage is an excuse to take a walk! Not a bad idea. Nice now that the place is quiet, lots gone on a Tuesday. You can see trees and fences and camp sites empty. The pond is nice without kids all over running.
Ah relax time, sit outside for my 15 minutes of sun and read a health bulletin from Mayo on cilliac disease. Made me think of my son who is fighting some issue with his stomach that can’t be defined but hurts like hell.
All right time to get dressed for our trek into MD. Try to wear something that doesn’t make me look to heavy. You know that 62 day cruise last year killed me…I put on 20 lbs! Yep 20lbs. Sucks and I lost 1/2 but before everyone in Florida leaves, we all get together to eat out or play cards one more time or marjhong last time. Everyone has a great dessert or going out meals and its. 1lb here and there and I gain 5lbs back! Ugh. Weight is an awful topic.
So let’s switch to traffic! Its okay on our start down to MD but get to Montgomery county and grid lock. It takes 5x before you get thru a light. red light lanes, imagine 5 lanes across on a street! I have seen more cars in one hour than I see in a year in PC!
We stop at SAMs imagine we are a bit early. Unfortunately, our pantry and frig is full. However, we see cute cup cakes with designs and think the kids will enjoy so we get them. We get there and they run them to the frig. We end up at Red Robin. Do you have any idea what it’s like to sit with a 4, 10, 11, 13 and 14 year old at a restaurant? So it’s like this, the smallest doesn’t leave the mom alone,the 10 year is fighting with the older ones and swiggling and trying to go under the table, the 11 year old is drawing and the 13 year old is quiet and the 14 year old had head phones and listens to r&b. An experience to behold.
But my sweet potato fries were YUMMO, El had a sandwich wrapped in lettuce, while drippy it was delicious. So the food was good. There were no incidence that took place. I have to add that the kids are more grown up than the last time we saw them.
We drove home and the sky over the mountains was pink absolutely beautiful a nice ending to a long day!
