I was going to write which day this is but I think it’s 2 weeks. Our last day in Gettysburg. We get up and ready in anticipation our friends will come. However, by 10am it is
Pouring rain, but will stop by lunch. We have a simple breakfast and clean up. 11:15 our friends call they are on their way. It is about an hour drive for them.
They come in and see our home away from home. They appear impressed with our residential refrigerator, desk, fireplace, stereo, TV. Microwave oven and storage everywhere. I was happy they like it they have seen a few that we have owned over time. My friend gave me a picture of her and me on our last cruise taken by the photographer. ..admittedly we look great!!
We are cruising with them to South America. We decided to go for lunch. We went to the Pike. I have never seen a beer menu 4 huge pages. Incredible! I got a strawberry beer that was amazing and El got a stout that was excellent.
The menu was enormous, a huge sheet of specials and a huge maybe 8 page menu! It was crazy. But my friend and I got fish and chips and my friend’s husband got chicken. We even shared 2 desserts. My friends took us to lunch.
We came back to the campground and they had to go. Miss them a whole lot! So glad she was well enough to come visit.
We decided to take a walk since we were so full from lunch. el wanted to check out some digging and noise. On our walk I saw the strangest pet. Ready…a PIG! Yes, with a harness.it got stuck around a tree and the own grabbed the leash to guide it around and it squealed and wagged its tiny tail I was FLABERGASTED! It buried it’s nose in the dirt. There were 2 dogs and the owner saw me starring and said the pig belongs to her mom..seriously?
Well we had dinner of leftovers. It is time to pack up and go. Tomorrow we head north to Stroudsburg, NY in the poconos. It sure was good to see everyone. I maintained my weight or didn’t gain which is good considering the visiting and eating done.
