Up and get ready to move on out. Quick breakfast yogurt and berries. Put everything in its place. It is trickier than you think. Everything has its proper place. The rugs go in front of the door, the placemats under the napkin holder, everything has a lock down, chairs have to be locked and turned foot stools go on top of the chairs and the stoller on the couch. The refrigerator gets velcroed, along with cabinets..it’s a process.
And boy was it chilly last nite I. The 40s..really and I am coming from Fl! so El does the process outside…sad news one of my tomato plants didn’t make it. They had traveled with us for 3 years. 😂 I hope deer don’t get the remaining one. Or the birds. They bit one red tomato!
The cats in the car, check everything 3x and we are off. Not a far ride about 3 plus hours. You forget how pretty it is upstate. The mountains are so green and the trees are so tall, and they are all different. there are valleys where you see several well groomed farms. The highway is not a straight line, it curves and goes up and down the mountains changing the views as you go.
We get to Stroudsburg, PA kind of on the NY, NJ border in the edge of the Poconos. We past a sign for camelback ski mountain and zoom your back into memories 30 years ago! Imagine I use to ski, could do intermediate slopes with not so many moogles pretty good!
We got to our campground and set up in our spot. Everything has to be taken down and set up as before. It is windy as heck and it’s chilly. We were going to BQoutside. However, I sautéed portobello mushrooms in spicy terriaki sauce and made roll ups with broccoli! YUMMO.
Relax watch some TV, tomorrow is another day.
