July 17 Sunday south Field Mass.

Up and out hurry hurry . We have to leave Maine and get across to the end of Massechucetts !   So we get going at a good time.  The drive was mainly Hywy until the last hour.

Then it came back to me this is New England. So pretty and Great Barrington was where I learned to ski.  I remembered the Red Lion Inn, although it seems larger now. I remember either staying there and at least having dinner.

The mountains were so pretty and the homes so classic white and huge and so New England. And old. But maintained well.

We got to my friends Dick and Joan around 3:30 pm.  It was not what we expected of a farm house.  We expected a huge field and no close neighbors and a dirt road up to the house.

NOPE! It was on the road and a house across the street. There are no animals. The home is huge. We went inside and met family members.  We were stunned at the large property. As well as the home was like a museum. Everything was kept in the old style including the kitchen. The house had 3 floors but added 2 bathrooms.  It needs more.  There are I think 5 bedrooms.

We had dinner hash, carrots, salad, and ice cream.  It was so fabulous to spend time with these wonderful folks.

Before we went to our trailer parked on their yard plugged into 30amp electric only we brought in the dishes. However, along with us came a frog! He hopped around the kitchen till my friend finally caught him!  She had never caught a frog before!  It was a good laugh!

Here’s some photos  on the way
