Day 4 dec 7th Manzanillo, Mexico

I controlled myself at breakfast had a croissant and lox yummo!. We first got off the bus and walked around downtown, 2 mins from the ship! It gave you an old funky feeling, tables outside or garage doors with rooms the size of a bathroom packed with so much junk you couldn’t focus. Typical dresses ..made in India..Ha!   Bowls, maracas, ugly strung beads. The only thing nice was a park with a huge sailfish. It’s called the sailfish capital of the world.

Back on the bus we ride and the bldgs are crumbling down, laundry out the window..no there is no window. Pretty sad.  Then we get to the other side of the island.  All white washed beautiful homes, marina, beaches and blue water with a mountain in the background. Pretty enough, but there is nothing here…wait there is a sams and Walmart.  Clearly a disconnect!

We stopped at a flee market. A bunch of Mexicans crammed together all selling the same thing as down town only very close together. I bought a wooden sailfish napkin holder. I think it’s cute. Mexican blankets, shirts, mugs, painted wooden everything, plates, bowls etc. it was so overkill.

Then we stopped at a nice hotel on the beach and had a 4oz. Bottle of corona. On the table were corn chips. Nice touch. When we got back we went for a nap. I slept 3 hours! Really? What do we do get up and eat. Honestly we had soup. We then met our friends for a comedian show. It was terrific. He told good honest jokes did not use one curse word, was not sexual, just clean fun humor. Honestly it was so refreshing and funny.

We then went to eat again. They just brought out a bucket of mussels. my husband grabbed me and pointed me to the pot! Luv them!  We all ate a little. BUT…we got into dessert.  A chocolate cake, a whipped pear cake, coffee cake, hazelnut cake.. we shared a lot. It was yummo!

So now what, we are tired again and decide to go to sleep. What a life!

I bought a new camera so be patient with pictures. The pictures transfer thru wifi.   But I need a learning curve.
