Up late it’s a sea day! Meet my friends for breakfast…oh no danish! Cutting back..ha! We sat and talked away and decided to meet later. I was going to an art auction with my husband so he can grab my hand in case it goes up!
Oddly enough, one good thing they had no Tarkay ( those above my couch) for those who know me well. It was fun to see, but nothing grabbed me totally. One of the artists I have already, has progressed his style into more 3 dimensional figures with glitter. I like that but have no place to put one.
So I didn’t buy anything which is a first in a long while. We then went to a cafe and met one friend who found us at the auction. He grabbed the bid card and raised it. Luckily, the auctioneer didn’t see it! It’s not funny it would be sold!
It was late afternoon so it was time to go to rest and get ready for dinner. We changed and went to an event at the Effy store. My other love jewelry. I showed the man we have been dealing with my alexandrite. He told us to have the stone certified with a number by the “EGL”. Some authority in jewel certification. I will look into it.
We then saw the tango couple. They are very good. We then meet for dinner. It was screwed up tonite. My friends salad was served with 2 different dressings, my husband’s steak was first over cooked then under cooked, and then I asked for a small scoop of coffee ice cream and got vanilla. Way off!
Then we walked thru the stores on the 6th floor. The coats for South America were seriously heavy. Good I brought long underwear! But, I saw other jewelry cheaper but pretty stuff. And booze and other stuff..like a stuffed penguin! I might need after I see them!
We then parted and at the last minute my husband and I stopped to see the sax player for the show. He was excellent! We were glad we stopped he gave his all.
Tomorrow at sea again..crossing the equator! Our 2nd time.
