We had breakfast and met our tour. We are at the desert. Like sand dunes for as far as you can see. We drove around a bay and ended at this pier. It had hotels and lots of boats. A vacation spot for who I don’t know. How would you get here?
So we boarded a speed boat. We were told to buy a hat. There are so many birds at the island we are going to you will get bird droppings on your head. We got hats..my husband got a hat too and he had a cap on already!!
So we literally speeded across the water for a half hour. Folks in the back got wet. And yes it banged on the water on the way. Then we got to this island of rocks where birds live. I wish I could remember all the names. Comerants by the thousands, Turin?, pelicans, red beak birds, birds with earrings, white birds.etc.
Additional saw seals and sea lions. Lots of them. Then we saw, humbolt penguins. There were not many 10 maybe and they are so cute. Maybe 2-3ft tall and they were jumping and skiing down the rocks. Really cute. Pictures were hard to get from the boat.
I will have to learn how to use wifi to transfer my camera to the iPad. But when I do I will add pics. Promise. You all are so supportive. We were there maybe an hour then took the bumping speed demon back to the pier. It was crazy crowded. There were 400 on the tour and over 8 boats.
We ate lunch back on the ship. Baby falafel, dal, spinach and cheese, fried breaded veggies, pineapple. We then went for a nap and showers before a show. The show was a gaucho, South American cowboy. He proceeded to swing these ropes with something hard on the end. They would hit the floor and he would stamp his feet in tune to the swinging rope really fast. Not sure I explained it.But it was interesting, he spoke numerous languages and was funny.
What then? more food…ok so I am reaching I Can’t. There were rice balls, I tasted them but nothing matches my friends. Rare roast beef I tasted it. My hubby brought to the table a selection of desserts. We all dung in for a taste.
Time for bed, three long tour days in a row. Ruff life I know! The design in the sand picture is a mystery. No one knows who did it or how it got there..crazy!
