I want to move to this city! I cant put my finger on it, but it is modern, it’s a city, and still it has its busy skyscraper bldgs but not overwhelming! Tons of mall type shopping within the city. Tons of outdoor eating spots, restaurants, cafes bakeries! BUT….it’s freakin expensive!
We missed our private guy, but the port authorities were great and found him! We passed the wealth homes, those were just 2-3 million, then there is the wealthier homes over 6 and up million!
Oh and get this a tiny pretty painted shed, they call them beach boxes yup $600,000… no running water, shower, toilet just a tiny storage shack on the beach! So I’m not moving!
But, we had fun! We saw a nice war memorial! We saw federation square, but there was a festival MOOMBA what ever that means but the Aussie are into it crowds were crazy.
We went to the Victoria market sort of like Daytona flee market only 10x the size. I couldn’t buy a Tee shirt made in China. BUT my husband got an Aussie hat! So cool!
We went to a Jewish museum, it was interesting. I will say no more!
Oh and the expressions are killing me, lovely food is lovely, they really say bloke, and someone said and I kid you not “CHERRIO” meaning good bye..seriously!
Oh sign that says “right turn from left lane” ! Oh and we have snow birds in Aussie land they are called “grey nomads”! I can’t make this up!
We came back and went to dinner of lamb chops..took long enough to show up on the menu! The show was a magician who was okay. Tired luckilytomorrow is a sea day. Oh no we stopped to talk with the art auctioneer! Nice guy.
