Well up in the morning and out to breakfast. We got on a grade school bus with no a/c. We have been to poor countries but this one is third world. It’s hard to describe their conditions, it’s like they have nothing. If a shack to live in is high, the rest I don’t know.
The village is a fishing village given all the poor boats in the harbor. It looked like if you huff and puff you can sink them. It is so unbearably hot, not so humid but boiling hot. The people tend to hang under anything with a top, like benches or trees.
We got to this village and folks had a rag on the ground with some of their hand made wears of wood on the ground to sell. Their teeth and gums are red, only to find they are chewing on red beetle nuts. It gives them a high.
There were shows one with women and one with men, they were in their native costumes. It’s not much.
We were so hot we left and showered and met for lunch. I had mussels. Then we hung out for a while till dinner. I feel asleep. Then dinner and a rediculous show. We saw if before. Quirky is the best word I could give it.
Tired tomorrow at sea
