We make sure everything is on the RV.the cats, litter, food, clothes etc. we plan to leave at 10am, ha we pull away at 11:52! Not unusual!
Except we pull away and the slides are out! How is that possible! El goes to close the slides. Go a little bit and the stairs are out! What? Close the stairs. Now we want to put the litter up stairs and oh no the slide doesn’t go out and the light doesn’t go on! Sends El to the moon!
But, we go! Breathe we deserve this trip it’s been 2 summers we didn’t go, his surgery and mine! So yeah!
in the car I do a newspaper sudoku and a crossword puzzle. I’m not good at those and cheat at the answer a lot. My mom use to do The NY Times every Sunday! How is that possible we are related!
i read my book, there, there! It’s heart rendering the things indians went thru. No different than other oppressed species, but you don’t think of the Indians that way. So it’s engaging. Worth the read.
we get to the campsite. Nice camp ground! Elliot immediately disappears! Why he is engaged in camping talks! Over an hour…annoyed but this is camping life right out of the gate.
He comes in I meet the man who bought into a camping club blah blah blah.
El comes in and says I must go see this house about wine and beer tasting at a camp site really? Really! It was so nice, a bar set up and I had a wine tasting which came with a small pizza! It was so fun. El has frozen coffee!
the lady next to me has a parrot and it’s language from teenagers is nasty at best. But, after a flight of wine was hysterical!
We Left to feed our cats. The place is really nice. It’s the best KOA nation wide. Too bad we are leaving tomorrow.
At least when El went to open the bedroom slide, that’s after I tried 3x, finally opened…now that’s luck! I held my breathe.
I ate salad for dinner and gave El chicken, the pizza and wine did me in.
Well, day 1 is done! It feels good to be in sanibel, we miss her.
