August 3. Belvedere, Illinois

As usual get up exercise dress eggs and coffee vitamins. But, why is it noon! The campground is having a festival so We will check it out!

We walk over, I’m wearing sketchers and they are thin and flexible why I like them. On the other hand, if you have sensitive feet, as my pad behind the toes are, my remaining reminder of what I’ve been thru, the stone road is killing me😬.

We get to where the festivities are and the first thing we come across are the sale of golf carts! Seriously, are people so lazy they need one of these to get around? I find it sad. However, these are rather jazzy! Fancy paint jobs, fancy wheels! There must be a couple dozen and they are not cheap! Anywhere from $5,000.00 to $8,000.00!

No I didn’t get one!

We move on and there are food trucks! All sorts of burgers with everything on them$10.00. There is Mexican, smoked meat sandwiches, ice cream, there was supposed to be a pizza truck but we didn’t find it.

But, we did find the wine tasting! The strangest ever. A woman put about 12 bottles on a table with a bunch of small cups. She didn’t say anything but drink! You took a cup tasted how ever much you wanted to pour from what ever bottles. She wasn’t selling them, drink until, they are gone! Really? The problem for me unfortunately, they were all sweet or semi sweet. A lot had fruit, blackberry, blueberry, peach. All made in the state. I did try them all but if it was Chardonnay or Pinot noir I would have drunk a lot more!

We went back to the RV. The sun is hot but it’s dry with no humidity. I signed up for a half hour message. I was so thankful she was there. She said she did deep message! OMG! I thought she would go thru to the other side. She indicated that I had many knots. Not something I don’t know! She said I’m a mess, jokingly, ok stop shaking your head in agreement, she meant my neck not my head!😂 I was pretty sore when I got back but hopefully it helps.

Dinner time, so I did something new! I put cooked rice on the bottom of aluminum foil, top with cod fish. Then a sauce of coconut milk, green curry paste and lime! Closed it up cooked it at 400 degrees 20 mins, yummo!

I read more of my book, olive Kitteridge, it’s old. It’s ok, I get bored. At the festival I went into the rec hall and they have books. I found Thomas Cromwell, stop gagging! In another life I loved English history! My next book!
