August 7 & 8 campsite and 8th Boone county fair

The 7th I didn’t write because I spent several hours using 1 small machine doing laundry. Big laundry with sheets and towels, yup all day!

So I spent some hours in the main hall reading my book. Boring I know! I even found itibity socks!

Now to move on to yesterday. I didn’t write it because one I was tired and worse my Photos from my phone didn’t transfer to iPad! I don’t know how but this morning they are in the iPad!

We went to the fair. Now word has it that this is huge in the midwest! I know crap about a real fair! But, farmer El was soooo in his element! The stuff he knew was so informative you would think he entered his, tractor and animals for show!,,

First we went to see tractor pulls! The tires on these things are huge! Then there is this machine they have to pull. El explained how it works in detail that actually made it interesting! There were dozens of tractors waiting and it goes on for hours! Really!

The next thing was draft horses 3 barns full! We are not talking small barns, gigantic barns! These horses were beautiful but enormous! Like Clydesdale! There legs are almost as tall as your body! Then there body on top of the legs!,,

The last one is a Baby! We got a treat an saw a man making and putting shoes on these huge horses!

We saw the saddles and leather straps for these horses! Who the heck picks it up and how do they get it on so high up?

So after seeing these horses we went to see swine or pigs! The gate was secured because they were showing them. Just so you know they do snort and oink Oink! Can’t say I’ve ever been this close to an animal pig! They are fat!

There are more animals, such as dairy goats! Cute! I don’t want one and just so you know baaa, baaaa. They say quite load! They were showing them.

Then we can’t forget the cows! El was in his element he knew all about them, including different ones! To me a cow goes moo! They are enormous!

el knew about the belted Galloway, look again they all have a white belt!

There’s more they had goats and alpaca lama. Their heads were so soft!

Then came the loudest barn. There were probably 100s of cages including roosters, chicken, ducks, geese’s.they were all making noises, like cacadoodledo and ererrrr, and quack quack! It was so funny! Some were actually pretty! This black and white rooster and one with feathered feet!

We walked around a bit more there were rides and tons of yummy crap. Given my healthy farmer man I didn’t get any food.

It was a totally fun day! Hope there aren’t too many pics I have more!
