August 11, Jamestown, North Dakota campground

Let me start by informing you that yesterday was weird and 2 blogs did go out one from July in Maine. The blog keeps telling me I have 1 blog that didn’t load? In drafts that one date was still there? So it got sent…so no panic! Sorry for the confusion😩

So this morning I did my exercises but I opened the blinds and the view was gorgeous! Right in front of the RV.

This was a travel day so we went north in Minnesota! It’s fairly desolate some rolling hills and plenty of corn, wheat that go on and on and big silos.

We both thought it was pretty. But then we got into North Dakota. Talk about massive fields that don’t end and flat land. We passed a sign before an exit and it had a picture gas, bed, food, camping. You know the signs with pictures, gas tank, bed, tent, fork? Well we never saw such an accurate small setting off an exit,. there was a small gas station, next to a sign that said EAT, which was next to a 100 year old motel with a sign Motel and if it had 6 rooms it was a lot and then next to that a few campers! That was the entire town and exit! Ya had to see it! It went by too fast for a picture! Our mouths hung open! You can’t make this up!

Contrary to that another sign said exit and beneath it said no services! There was nothing!

Then we thought we saw silos, but no this is a lot of silos!

We got off the hywy and drove a dirt road to the campground. We past a retail store selling farm equipment! The stuff is huge!

Well we pulled in apparently this place is booked because the next town is the RV rally and everyone here is going to it! You have to bring water, you get electric but NO sewer. The is a dumping station. It feels funny to be so far north you can almost touch Canada! And oh yes, it is pretty chilly!
