The first day was not too bad. We got dressed, we had breakfast, packed the car.We took the cats to jaja. They manage the visit with his pets. The white cat struts around the hallway, like he lives there.
We dropped them off in Bunnell. Then we drove to the hotel in Orlando, home 2 suite. We were surprised how nice and contemporary it was in the place. We did go out to dinner. The millers Brew pub? They had Guinness on tap. Does not get better than that. We ordered a flatbread veggie pizza, which was okay, and a special steak dinner! Huge steak done perfect it was delicious!
The next morning we had breakfast, which was very good, Gouda and ham and egg melted on chabatta bread. Very nice.
We caught the shuttle to the airport. That went smooth. Then we booked our suitcase on board our Orlando to Newark portion.We ordered a caprese salad and calamari which was over cooked in the airport. The airport was weird in that all over the United terminal C has small computers everywhere. There are enormous bar areas. It turns out you order food from these computer stations and somehow a waitress delivers the food!
The Three hour wait wasn’t too bad and went rather quickly. The plane ride from Newark to Venice was a long one. They served drinks fast, lucky we sat at 2 seats by the window. Then they served snacks. Then dinner was crappy pieces of chicken with spinach with some awful cheese sauce. I watched 2 movies, Dumbo, which was cute and Bohemian Rhapsody, which was about Queen the band.
I did read food network magazine on the Jersey flight. I was by the window on the way to Venice and I got to see the Alps Mtns peeking thru the clouds. Nice view.
Getting to the ship was fairly straight forward. We saw the signs for Royal Caribbean. We got on the bus to the port. You don’t get to see Venice.
We got on the ship, no one really greets you, you don’t get a drink either. We were told lunch is served in the buffet. The food was ok, I took a little of each thing.
We waited to go to our room. Wow, small, with a window behind the bed. I unpack they have hangers with tips that go into these holders on the rod…the worst!
I had to rest my neck the pain. So I get up way too tired to change. I find my sister in law, her husband and other brother. We look to find a place to have a drink but not enough chairs. We split until dinner. My in law and I go to a bar and have. Drink, yup bourbon and Diet Coke!
We finally find each other for dinner. We had chicken Marsala, one had pork and one had salmon that was overcooked. The head chef got involved and a new dinner was brought.
We all just about crashed being exhausted from the travel. It was good to see each other.
