Oct 7 Kotor, Montenegro

I got up at 6:30am, not easy but our tour meets at 8:30am. Exercise and dress we went up to the buffet and the bros met us. My sister in law was having stomach issues so she did not come!

We met our guide, Mladen, another tall man. We started going on our planned trip but I saw on TV this church of rock and we stopped and changed plans. We drove to Church on the Rock. It’s a story the picture was found on Pilar’s of rocks. The men at sea when their boats died filled them with rocks and sunk them at this location, thus the name. Pretty interesting.

Some pictures of the island of Kotor, we had to take a boat to the church.

There we other interesting stories about the place so it was worth the visit.

As it turns out Kotor sits at the bottom of the mtns. Although our guide informed us the other side of these crazy straight up mtns it is flat!

We stopped at a restaurant for lunch. The fishermen set nets for mussels , the rocks you see in the sea. The circles catch fish.

We had salad, which was mild feta, over tomatoes and cukes.. Then I had seafood over pasta, which was very good.

We then drove to old town. We walked thru the gate and was shown the churches. The side walk cafes were at every corner. Not to mention souvenir shops everywhere.

Our guide was knowledgeable about the history of the place. He answered all our questions. We walked back to our ship and I passed out. When I woke up I took a shower and met the family for dinner at the buffet. It was formal nite and we don’t gown up.

We picked at some Mexican food, and dessert. I probably gained 5 lbs already. I gotta find some control soon!

We went to the show. It was ballroom dancing, like think you can dance. The main couple were Russian champions. Wow they were so impressive and precise with their fast movements. Really great to watch. A lot was South American music. We enjoyed the show!
