We all managed to get off the ship. However, my sister In law decided not to come. We had to call Ervin our guide because we did not see him when we got off the ship. But, all is well. We found him and walked to where the windmills are across from an area know as little Venice. A bunch of homes very close together and doors at the waters edge. The are business now.
The island is more spread out with the homes. All the homes are white, but the door. If you don’t comply you don’t get electricity!
We drove down very narrow roads. You have to back out of the road to let others cars pass. we were told that some streets are the width of one person. others you have to pass sideways. The streets have no names so it can get very confusing, ya think! If you want mail go to the post office.
There are many shops. Most appear to be high end stuff, beautiful jewelry. But, unfortunately, one brother got lost and we had to wait to find him. We had to wait for others off and on. A lot of shopping time got eaten away. El’s sister and I were disappointed that we couldn’t shop.
We saw some breathe taking views all around the island. We saw some private mansions where all sorts of famous people stay..
At the end of the tour we stopped for some Greek food which Ervin ordered ahead for us. We had grape leaves with rice, yummo,. We had tadziki which was sooo creamy, we had lamb chops, veal, , an eggplant dish, all was very good. We had mushrooms with a Roquefort dressing. Then some clear Ouzo like drink but a little sweetness. We were glad Ervin ate with us. He is a professional soccer player.
We then had to go back to the ship. We get on the tender and the rest of the family didn’t make it. It is tuff to travel with a family. They did make the last tender.
We then went to our room for a while. then we went to the buffet for more food. Yup, just what I need.
We left and went to listen to Greek music and watch people dance. We meet with Travis the art manager, and discussed whether we should get the Nano Cat. It’s very expensive. We have gotten several pieces of art, an Agam, Britto, and nano fishes. I think its crazy!
We then went to listen to a little of the show. the songs of Barry Manillow. Then tomorrow’s tour is in the afternoon. I’m tired.
