I am not writing about today because there is nothing to write about. It rained from noon and at 10pm it is still raining. I had NO internet. Yes I am suffering especially since El gets on and I can’t! No we can’t figure it out. For dinner we had some chicken matzo ball soup. I made a few days ago. It fits the weather. I read a travel magazine which had interesting stories.
Yesterday was fun! Yes it was sunny all day and we ventured out to the gigantic outlet mall. I don’t know a bigger one. You can’t go into every store in one day. It was a strange experience. First off everyone was wearing a mask. A different life setting. Then some of the more popular outlet stores, like bed and bath, Nike, Calvin Klein, and others had lines and were counting the amount of people who could go in he store at one time!
Then it was sad to see the ones that went out of business like dress barn, kitchen collection and others. But, yes there were deals. Many stores were discounting their clearance an additional 70%. I got 2 tops from Loft for under $10. Unreal! I got 2 tee shirts the soft cotton ones, for $12.50 in under armor! Then there was a military discount which El has from working in the navy. The discount took $5.00 off the purchase. I had a good time. I even got El to buy slim jeans! He looks great in them. He walks around in those baggy jeans. He so thin I could kill him I’m so envious! My goal is weigh less than him! That looks awful! I feel so fat writing that statement! If you had $10 for every store you could find something! But I no longer work, such a wonderful thought, so I don’t need that kind of clothes. And, to be honest I have a closet dedicated to cruise wear.
They had a jewelry store too. But, to be honest, it’s hard to find something or a color I don’t have already. It has to be extra ordinary. Ok it’s my thing, some have shoes, books, makeup, mines jewelry.
Ah, many of you folks have grandchildren and that’s a big ticket item! I do enjoy the stories and pictures and watch them grow up here and there. I have my cats right now. I feel your happiness when I listen to the stories and love that you share with me.
Well it was fun shopping. El is pretty good and patient so we had a good day. We came back and it was dinner time. I made cod in a braise of tomatoes, spices garlic fennel and onion. I added couscous and green beans. It didn’t take too long and was good.
I was so beat last night I think I fell asleep on the couch. This blog for yesterday is being written today. I just hope it sends or publishes. I cant get internet I tried to send some phone messages they didn’t even go.
It is evil not having any internet. Well I am getting sleepy. It’s hard to think when the roof is pounding rain all day. It is very loud. My poor black cat hides in his bunker. I pull the sheet to the floor at the end of the bed and he hides there.
